Sunless Airbrush Tanning Process

What is the Process?
The  process uses an ingredient called dihydroxyacetone (DHA) to react with the
skin's dead skin cells. The reaction is like that of the sun but does not require exposure to ultraviolet light and does not damage the skin. The process results in a golden tan appearance than can last up to 10 days.

How Long will my Sun Spray Tan Last?
This really depends on your skin and how you treat your skin following the tanning process. The airbrush tanning process only produces color on the very outermost layer of skin, the epidermis, and that
outer layer is being discarded cell by cell. As these cells are discarded so does your tan. The range
of time we see is from three to seven days. Take care of your skin, use moisturizing shower gel instead of soap and use moisturizing lotion to extend your tan. Long baths, hot tubs and swimming pools will dry your skin and may shorten the life span of your tan, especially without moisturizer. We offer special moisturizers to help prolong your tan.

What are the cons with the airbrush tanning process?
If you have used a sunless self tanner, then you know the problems: orange color, tanned palms-feet-elbows-knees, streaking, and blotches. The airbrush tanning process virtually eliminates most
problems associated with self tanner. Too much spray can result in orange tint to the tan so we will only tan individuals a maximum of twice per week.

Are there any Side Effects to Tanning this Way?
There may be some people who are allergic to the basic inert ingredients contained in the spray product. The worst reaction we know of is minor skin irritation in the form of an acne bump or two. People who are allergic to things know their situation, so we have the list of ingredients available for your information.

Will Chlorine in a Pool or Hot Tub Affect my AirbrushTan?
Chlorine is a bleaching product and will diminish your tan. More importantly, spending long times in a
pool and then drying with a towel will speed up the exfoliation process and that means your tan goes away faster.

For Your Information

- Exfoliate and shave or wax before your session, do not put lotion on after shaving.
- Wear loose fitting clothing when you come for your airbrush tanning session
- The application process takes only a few minutes and then the spray needs to dry for 7 to 10 minutes. Allow approximately 30 minutes for your session.
- Avoid perspiring immediately afterwards because this could affect the evenness of your tan.
- Avoid sitting on leather seats right away to prevent perspiration.
- Wait at least 12 hours before bathing or showering, but longer is better.
- Spray will not stain your clothing or harm your hair.
- Yes you can tan indoors or outdoors along with your airbrush tan.
